Asiatic black bears can be found north of Pakistan, south of Afghanistan, east of the Himalayans, north of Vietnam, south of China, Thailand and the natural forests of Myanmar
The body is heavy, the legs are thick and strong and the paws are broad. The tails are short and is barely visible under a long, coarse coat. The white V-shape making on the chest extends up to the base of the arms, and the white fur around the muzzle can spread up to the area surrounding the eyes.
Asiatic Black Bear is classified as Vulnerable (VU) on the IUCN Red List.
